Question
What do the
scholars of Islam and Muftis say regarding the following matter: A person
finished Suhoor within the prescribed time, but later he realized that due to
the wrong time on the clock, he continued to eat until two minutes after the
end of Suhoor time. Was the fast carried out in this case? Please guide.
In the case
of being asked, it is necessary for that person to make up (do Qada) for this fast and act carefully in this
matter in the future, however, in the case of being asked, there will be no Kaffarah (expiation).
Therefore,
it is mentioned in Al-Mukhtasar al-Qudori:
In Tanweer
Al-Absaar Ma'a Durr Al-Mukhtar, it is mentioned under
the cases in which the Qada of fast is necessary:
It is
mentioned in Bahar-e-Shariat: "It was assumed that Subh-e-Sadiq
hadn’t arrived and he ate and drank, or had sexual intercourse, and later found
out that Subh-e-Sadiq had arrived. So only Qada is necessary, that is, one fast will have to be kept
in lieu of that fast."
